Okay mama, let's be honest. Pregnancy brain is REAL, and with pregnancy comes a lot of unknowns. The last thing on your mind is booking your newborn photos. But then your little one comes in to the world and all of a sudden, you realize you forgot to book your photographer! You scramble and reach out to any newborn photographer you can find without any luck. I'm here to make sure this doesn't happen to you!

Here are my top pieces of advice for

booking a newborn photographer

  1. Make sure you find someone whose style you love. There are different types of newborn photography and I specialize in lifestyle newborn sessions. To make sure this is what you are looking for, check out this blog I wrote on lifestyle newborn sessions. You can also check out my newborn package here.
  2. Reach out to your desired photographer around the end of your second trimester. This is likely when you will have the most energy and be in your "nesting" phase of preparing for baby. When you reach out to me, I'll ask your due date and book your session a week from then, knowing we will adjust as needed whenever baby decides to arrive. I've had newborns who have needed a little extra time in the hospital, wanted extra time in mom's womb, or who have battled feeding issues and parents need that extra time to adjust. Not to worry, I make sure to keep flexible dates around your baby's due date in case anything arises!
  3. The best time to photograph your newborn is when baby is 5 to 14 days old for those sleepy newborn photos! Not to worry, I reach out to you a few weeks before your due date so we can get all questions answered, so when the time comes for your session, you feel prepared and the only thing you have to focus on is loving your little arrival!

It's honestly as simple as that when you book with me!
